Welcome to the Spotlight Series. In this series we shall explore some of the key UK regulations including Solvency II, the Insurance Distribution Directive, the UK Alternative Investment Fund Managers Regulation, the UK MiFID Framework, and the UK European Market Infrastructure Regulation.

In this course you will learn about what Solvency II is, who it applies to and what its main aims are. You will also learn about its three pillar structure, and explore some of its key features. Finally, you will see what the future holds for Solvency II including active consultations and receive a reference list for further reading.

This course has been designed to help people understand Solvency II and contains knowledge checks throughout the course. Learners will be assessed on their knowledge and understanding through a test at the end of the course.
