Unconscious Bias Classroom Training

11th June 2014

We’re now running Unconscious Bias training courses for Marshall ACM clients at our Fleet Street offices.

The course, hosted by our principal consultant Vernal Scott (pictured right, in full training mode) has been designed to support organisations to develop a clear understanding of how to manage personal biases in a professional environment and support the creation of discrimination-free, fair, inclusive, and commercially competitive organisations.

Research from academic institutions across the world, (including Harvard, Oxford and MIT) and best practice organisations (such as McKinsey, Catalyst, The Chartered Institute of Personnel Development), strongly suggest the reality of unconscious bias, and its direct impact on key decision-making processes in the workplace.

What does the course cover?

This engaging classroom-based course will provide participants with an introduction to unconscious bias and how it affects our behaviour.

Who is the course for?

The one-day course is designed for employees and professionals interested in finding out more about the concept of unconscious bias.

It is also available as a more in-depth two-day course which will be particularly beneficial for middle and senior managers with decision-making responsibilities impacting on line management, strategy, policy and process development, and the overall people and organisational development function.

Our Unconscious Bias e-learning offerings

We also offer an Unconscious Bias e-learning course with Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (ENEI), which was one of the first of its kind to be released in the UK.

A US version of this course is also available.
