All your Safeguarding Children’s modules in one place
Developed in partnership with children’s charity Barnardo’s and Leeds City Council for all their safeguarding children courses, this portal contains over six hours of training on a range of topics. The system runs on a customised version of Moodle that we developed for Leeds City Council and serves as the main gateway for safeguarding training for the local authority.
Your learning outcomes
The portal could be your staff’??s gateway to a series of courses that will provide them with an awareness of legislation and Government policy supporting Child Protection and an understanding of their role in protecting children.
The Modules in your portal could include:
- The social model of disability
- Local context of provision for disabled children: an overview from a local, national, legislative and social policy framework.
- Safeguarding disabled children
- Multi-agency working
- Early intervention
- Communication and participation
We can customise the portal to include all relevant safeguarding courses. All legislation and best practice updates are written by Barnardos which ensures your training is always relevant and up-to-date. Each module incorporates a range of methods including quizzes, web links and a final assessment quiz to develop your staff’??s understanding and confidence in dealing with this difficult issue.
Course duration: each module lasts approx 45 minutes.
Staff have the option to bookmark progress and complete the course in chunks.

Learning by design
All our Safeguarding e-learning courses are highly interactive with rich graphics and audio-visual content, blending a variety of question-types to encourage your staff to apply concepts to their daily work routine. An (optional) end-of-course test assesses staff on the level of knowledge they’??ve retained. Pass rates can be set as required.

This e-learning portal is produced using Marshall ACM’??s customised version of Moodle, you’??ll also get our Learning Management System which allows you to manage all your e-learning and track completed training.
Our in-house developers can quickly & effectively adapt your learning portal to suit your organisation. You can add your own graphics, photos & video and amend content to include your policies, procedures and key areas.
