COURSE OVERVIEW

This course, developed with Brunel University London, ensures that disclosures of sexual violence are tackled sensitively and appropriately in a higher education context.

This course ensures that this sensitive subject is tackled appropriately in a higher education context, victims are supported and individuals are treated with dignity and respect.

Learners completing our Responding Appropriately to Disclosures of Sexual Violence: Basic Awareness course will understand:

  • Basic definitions of sexual violence
  • Common myths and misunderstandings.
  • Supporting survivors
  • Sources of support on campus

The course covers the legal context of sexual violence and harassment, myth-busting and on-campus support for survivors of sexual violence and harassment.

Course duration: this course should take around 30 minutes to complete. Learners can bookmark their progress before exiting the course, and resume from that point.
