South Essex College take up our diversity e-learning suite

South Essex College have become the latest FE institution to commission a suite of diversity e-learning tools from Marshall ACM. These e-learning modules include:

Diversity in the Workplace – our most popular course covering all the essentials of The Equality Act, Bullying and Harassment and an opportunity for the institution to state clearly to all staff its position on equality and diversity in the workplace.

Diversity in Learning and Teaching?- which highlights for all teaching staff how they can promote equality in the curriculum, and includes a series of realistic case studies from a number of disciplines.

Diversity for Students – which enables colleges to promote equality within their student body. The script is in an “easy read” format and all case studies have been custom written to be meaningful for further education students.

David Marshall, Marshall ACM CEO said: “The aim of the suite is both to ensure legal compliance but also South Essex College a range of personalised tools allowing it to promote equality. We know it’s a small step but believe it will act as a powerful gateway to an understanding of equality and diversity in the workplace for staff and students alike.”

The college have also commissioned our health and safety e-learning module, one of our core e-learning courses providing organisations with practical guidance on key topics such as risk assessments and fire safety, with the option to add other relevant topics such as manual handling and workstations.

The suite will go live in March 2013, backed by the Marshall ACM learning management system. This means the college can report on who has and has not done the training, and can easily show an external body progress made in the relevant area.
