Following the success of their first Diversity and Inclusion user group with 10 representatives from leading UK universities and companies in the legal and construction sectors, Marshall E-Learning are running a second workshop focusing on the topic of “Inclusive Leadership“.

Building on their work with clients around Inclusive Leadership, the user group is designed to bring Learning & Development Managers from across the UK, so they can exchange ideas on the latest training and development needs in their organisations, share best practice and participate in knowledge exchange, and learn from the experts at Marshall E-Learning on upcoming trends and changes in the law that may affect their work.

At the next user group, the following Inclusive Leadership sessions will take place:

  1. Long-term client Nick Gallagher-Hughes will chair a discussion with Marshall E-Learning clients on how they use the modules and give an opportunity for new clients to learn from more longstanding clients.
  2. David Marshall will give a brief demonstration of Marshall E-Learnings work latest work and upcoming courses
  3. Dan Robertson from ENEI will then give a presentation on inclusive leadership and demonstrate a preview of our inclusive leadership e-learning and give away a copy of a new white paper on the topic to all attendees.

Dan Robertson, Diversity & Inclusion Director at the Employer’s Network for Equality and Inclusion (enei), will give a presentation on his work on Inclusive Leadership. Dan will also launch a whitepaper, written in partnership between Marshall E-Learning and enei, outlining the latest thinking on Inclusive Leadership and how organisations can build its concepts into their Learning & Development programmes.

Inclusive Leadership‘?is about treating people and groups fairly based on their unique characteristics, rather than acting on biases derived from stereotypes. It is about personalising individuals understanding and valuing the uniqueness and differences of others while at the same including them as members of the organisation, networks and work groups. Lastly, Inclusive Leadership is about utilising the thinking of diverse groups for smarter ideas, solutions and decision making has the potential to provide different approaches and ways of working that move the organisation forward.

David Marshall, Managing Director of Marshall E-Learning Consultancy, explains why they are running the user groups:

‘??The role of the diversity lead is sometimes a lone one and all clients enjoyed cross networking across sectors. Our partners at enei and our clients reported that they found discussing the latest research with a wide range of sectors as very stimulating.’??

‘??Inclusive Leadership is the latest hot topic on diversity & inclusion thinking. Being at the fore front of trends is important for Marshall E-Learning, so we’re delighted to offer our clients the chance to come together and learn about how they can incorporate this exciting topic into their training and development programmes.”

“Our clients are the ones working at the front line of their sector, so they need access to the latest thinking?? whether that’??s in higher education, law, finance or healthcare. That’??s why we always update our training in line with the latest diversity & inclusion trends. This or means our courses need to keep up with that change as well.’??
